At 610 pm edt, doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. this storm was located over greendell, or near newton, and moving southeast at 30 mph. * this severe thunderstorm will be near, hopatcong and hackettstown around 615 pm edt. stanhope and beatyestown around 620 pm edt. mount arlington, netcong, budd lake and long valley around 625 pm edt. succasunna and succasunna-kenvil around 630 pm edt. dover, wharton, chester and victory gardens around 635 pm edt. mendham around 640 pm edt. morris plains and peapack and gladstone around 645 pm edt. morristown and far hills around 650 pm edt. other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include white meadow lake, bernardsville, beattyestown and hanover township.
