At 217 pm pdt, a cluster of severe thunderstorms were located at the merger of state highway 78 and 79 in julian, just east of santa ysabel and nearly stationary. hail has been reported along with peak wind gusts near 50 mph from the thunderstorms (radar indicated). Hazards include 60 mph wind gusts and up to penny size hail. heavy rainfall. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
