The severe thunderstorm warning for northwestern adams and southwestern weld counties will expire at 700 pm mdt, the storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. therefore the warning will be allowed to expire. however, heavy rain is still falling over southwestern weld county with this thunderstorm. the heaviest rainfall has fallen between fort lupton and hudson. up to two and a half inches of rain has fallen near hudson in the past 30 minutes. motorists should use caution if they encounter flooded roadways. turn around, don`t drown.
