At 233 pm edt, doppler radar continued to indicate a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 58 mph. these storms were located along a line extending from near louisburg to near zebulon, moving southeast at 35 mph. locations impacted include, raleigh, louisburg, wake forest, zebulon, franklinton, bunn, knightdale, wendell, rolesville and youngsville.

The severe thunderstorm warning for nash, franklin, northeastern wake, edgecombe and northern wilson counties will expire at 945 pm edt, the line of storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. therefore the warning will be allowed to expire. however gusty winds and heavy rain are still possible with these thunderstorms. to report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. they will relay your report to the national weather service raleigh.
