The severe thunderstorm warning for western carroll county in north central maryland, western howard and northwestern montgomery counties in central maryland, frederick county in north central maryland and northeastern loudoun counties in northern virginia will expire at 530 pm est, the storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe limits and exited the warned area. therefore the warning will be allowed to expire. additional severe thunderstorm development remains possible, and a tornado watch remains in effect until 11 pm est.
