The severe thunderstorm warning for franklin, jefferson and williamson counties will expire at 530 pm cdt, the main wind damaging part of the storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the area. therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. however gusty winds 45 to 55 mph are still possible with these thunderstorms lingering across especially southern williamson county. a severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 900 pm cdt for south central and southern illinois.
