At 1004 pm edt, doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail and destructive winds in excess of 70 mph. this storm was located near cordova, moving east at 20 mph. in addition, downed trees were reported near the town of cope in orangeburg county. downed trees and power lines were reported between blackville and denmark. . locations impacted include, orangeburg, bamberg, denmark, brookdale, rowesville, cordova, cope, govan, wilkinson heights and edisto.
