At 707 pm edt, trained weather spotters reported a severe thunderstorm producing quarter size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. this storm was located over berkeley springs, or near spohrs crossroads, moving northeast at 40 mph. one inch hail has been reported just west of berkeley springs. locations impacted include, new hope in morgan county, valley view, spohrs crossroads, berkeley springs, shady grove in morgan county, berryville in morgan county, hancock in morgan county, hancock in washington county, great cacapon and smith crossroads. a tornado watch remains in effect until 1000 pm edt for north central maryland and central west virginia.
